Fairfield American is now using Twitter to post updates on our site.
What is Twitter? Twitter is a real-time short messaging service that allows you to broadcast short messages to your friends or "followers." These messages can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web. You can choose to follow people and automatically receive their "tweets" in real time.
How is FFALL using Twitter? Twitter allows us to send one message to all of our baseball friends at the same time. You receive an alert each time we send a new message. We'll also automatically post these messages on our home page. It works much the same as the school emergency alerting system.
Why should you use it? Following Fairfield American on Twitter (http://Twitter.com/ffall_news) will allow you to stay up-to-date on late breaking announcements (news and updates, game and other cancellations, and information like schedule availability) from Fairfield American Little League. You may receive updates on your computer or your cell phone (via sms text messages). There is no charge from Twitter to receive the updates but your cell phone service may or may not charge for text messages. Twitter is a great way to stay in touch with friends and keep abreast of breaking news (who Twitters: shaq, CNN, NY Times, Obama & McCain)
